At the end-of-year meeting of the Milestones Board of Directors, we celebrated 2024 achievements as well as honored and thanked outgoing board members Allison McMeechan, Carrie Rosenfelt, Robyn Strosaker, Dominic Frisina, and Carmen Roman. We are so grateful for their tremendous dedication and years of service to the Milestones mission!
Milestones is excited to welcome three new board members to the team in January!
Dana Collins resides in Shaker Heights with her husband, Sean, and their three children: Jackson (23), Fiona (14), and Liam (12). Jackson, a recent graduate of The Ohio State University, works as an Electrical Engineer and played ice hockey throughout his youth. Fiona, a freshman at Shaker High School, grew up playing ice hockey but now focuses on field hockey. She attended preschool at the Cleveland Clinic Center for Autism as a typical peer and was instrumental in helping Liam, who is on the autism spectrum, find his voice. Liam, now thriving at Shaker Middle School, enjoys playing piano, percussion, and golf, and participates in Buddy Strong Academy, a CrossFit program for individuals with disabilities. The family is completed by their beloved Belgian Malinois, Maverick.
Professionally, Dana is a Senior Operations Manager at an AI company, driving execution of strategic goals, managing project plans, and fostering relationships with key accounts. With a background in Electrical Engineering, she thrives in strategic roles that require precision and collaboration.
Outside of work, Dana loves CrossFit, cooking, baking, and exploring Cleveland with her family and friends. Whether visiting museums, bowling, or enjoying pizza at Sainato’s, Cleveland offers the perfect backdrop for quality family time.
Dana’s connection to Milestones Autism Resources began when Liam was diagnosed with autism at 18 months. Milestones provided invaluable guidance during a daunting time, and Dana is passionate about giving back. Joining the Board allows her to formalize her commitment to helping other families navigate their journeys with autism.
Michelle Fabrizi has been happily married to Frank Fabrizi, co-owner of Fabrizi Trucking and Paving, for 29 years. They reside in Strongsville, Ohio, where they’ve lived since 1994. Together, they have three children: Nick (24), a Baldwin Wallace University graduate pursuing a career in employment law; Vanessa (21), a junior at Miami University studying education with a passion for working with special needs children; and Domenic (12), a 7th grader at Strongsville Middle School who loves football and basketball. Their family is rounded out by Bailey, their sweet three-year-old Mini Sheepadoodle.
Growing up in Brook Park, Ohio, Michelle has always been deeply involved in her community. When her oldest son, Nick, was diagnosed with high-functioning autism in 2003, Michelle dedicated herself to finding resources and therapies that helped him thrive. Through organizations like Milestones Autism Resources, she discovered impactful programs like speech therapy, music therapy, and social skills training.
Michelle’s commitment extended to her children’s schools, where she served in PTA leadership roles, including president and vice president, and organized numerous initiatives such as book fairs and fundraisers. Today, she continues to stay active in the PTA at her youngest son’s school.
In addition to her community involvement, Michelle co-manages her family’s trucking business, handling bookkeeping, payroll, and daily operations for their 15-20 employees. In her free time, she enjoys Cleveland sports, audiobooks, and spending time with friends and family at local restaurants.
Michele Toman resides in Broadview Heights, Ohio, with her husband Jay, two mini Bernedoodles—Milo and Graham—and their three children: Anna (17), Luke (15), and Mark (13). A lifelong Clevelander, Michele spent four transformative years at the University of Dayton before returning to Northeast Ohio to build her career and family.
Professionally, Michele is a Managing Director at EY, where she works in the Professional Practice group. Her role involves overseeing updates to the firm’s audit research tools and audit manuals, ensuring the highest standards of accuracy and relevance.
In her personal time, Michele treasures moments with her family, diving into a good book, or indulging in a Netflix binge. An avid fan of Italian cuisine and a coffee enthusiast, she’s always up for discovering new spots to enjoy these favorites.
Michele’s connection to Milestones Autism Resources stems from both personal experience and a growing admiration for the organization’s mission. After attending a fundraising event, she was impressed by the breadth and depth of services Milestones provides. With a son on the spectrum, Michelle wishes she had known about Milestones earlier in her parenting journey. Now, she’s eager to give back and make an impact as a volunteer.
