Posted on 09/20/24 in About Us

Connie Boros, MSSA, LISW-S, CFRE has been appointed as the new Executive Director, effective September 30, 2024.

Milestones Autism Resources is proud to announce that Connie Boros has been appointed as the new Executive Director, effective September 30, 2024. Boros, a seasoned non-profit leader with over 23 years of experience supporting individuals and families with disabilities, including autism, brings a wealth of expertise that will be crucial for Milestones' long-term sustainability and growth.

As a Certified Fund Raising Executive, Boros’ extensive background in fundraising and resource development aligns perfectly with Milestones’ mission. Her leadership will be instrumental in driving the organization's initiatives forward and expanding its impact throughout Northeast Ohio and beyond. Boros has earned high praise from clients, families, former colleagues, and industry leaders alike.

“We are thrilled to welcome Connie Boros to Milestones,” said Board President, Phillip Irvin. “Her passion for serving individuals with disabilities, combined with her collaborative approach and strategic vision, makes her the perfect fit to lead our organization into the future.”

Boros will join Milestones at a pivotal time, just as the organization has launched its "Roots & Wings" Campaign in honor of Ilana Hoffer Skoff, Milestones’ co-founder and Executive Director of 22 years. "Roots and Wings" was created to honor Ilana's legacy and vision for the future.

“Ilana has left an indelible mark on the autism community, and I am honored to continue building on the solid foundation she established,” Boros shared. “I look forward to working with the dedicated team at Milestones, our incredible board, and the broader community to ensure we continue to provide the resources, support, and guidance that empower those we serve.”

As the organization embarks on this new chapter, Boros will be responsible for guiding Milestones through its next phase of growth. Her focus will include expanding services to reach more communities, enhancing digital infrastructure, and branching into new funding streams.

Milestones Autism Resources has become a beacon of support for individuals and families navigating the autism journey. With Boros at the helm, the organization is poised to thrive in the years ahead, building on two decades of success.
