PART 1. How do I start exploring the right post-secondary choice for me?

Start by considering what your interests, strengths and challenges are. Think through questions like:

• Do I have strong interests that might lend themselves to certain careers?

• What kind of education or skills would I need to do that?

• How do I handle sitting in classes? What level of complexity works best for me? 

• In what environment and with which accommodations do I learn best? 

• What kind of post-secondary setting and supports are best suited to my challenges and needs? For example, would a degree from a community college serve my needs, or attending a community college for two years and then transitioning to a university for the last two years?
