Green Options for Autism of Lucas County (G.O.A.L.) is the educational alternative for children and young adults with Autism. Their staff is committed to providing a structured and consistent environment to students/young adults on the Autism Spectrum with developmental disabilities.
The Academy offers early intervention with children as young as 3 years old. Their program provides students who need more services than are offered in their current setting. School-age students receive instruction in Math, Language, Social Studies, and Science using the Ohio Common Core standards for academics based on each student’s age and ability level. Students also participate in elective classes such as technology sign language, music, and art; as well as school clubs including cooking, drawing, and a school newspaper.
Adult Day Program: They use technology, visuals, and project-based learning to teach independence and communication skills. The program strives to obtain paid employment for participants and have kept these jobs since inception.
