Best Buddies in Ohio

Best Buddies is a nonprofit organization dedicated to ending the social, physical, and economic isolation of 200 million people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).

Participants are matched in 1-1 buddy pairs - one person with IDD and one without.

Elementary, Middle, and High Schools: Matched with a student at the same school and/or participate in monthly group activities as part of the Best Buddies Friendship Chapter at their school.

Colleges: Matched with a college student and/or participate in monthly group events (ages 18-25)

Citizens: Adult friendship match made by a Best Buddies staff member with a community volunteer (recommended age 25+)

To join, individuals must apply on the website www.bestbuddies.org/join. Select "Ohio" and then the program you would like to join.
