  • Milestones Adult Diagnosis Tool Kit -- This tool kit helps explain the difference between self-diagnosis and receiving a formal diagnosis from a professional. It also gives some website references for learning more about being diagnosed with autism as an adult.
  • Individuals: Am I Autistic? -- A tool kit designed by OCALI allows individuals to learn not only whether they may be autistic but also how to navigate acquiring a diagnosis if they desire one.
  • Autism Grown Up -- this website offers blog posts and downloadable tools specifically for autistic individuals and school professionals who work with autistic individuals.
  • Academic Autism Spectrum Partnership in Research and Education (AASPIRE) – A national nonprofit that brings together the academic community and the autistic community to conduct research projects relevant to the needs of adults on the autism spectrum.

Self Advocacy

  • Autistic Self-Advocacy Network (ASAN) -- ASAN works to make our society more inclusive for autistic people through policy and legal advocacy, leadership training for autistic self-advocates and making educational resources 
  • RespectAbility – A diverse, disability-led nonprofit that works to create systemic change in how society views and values people with disabilities, and that advances policies and practices that empower people with disabilities to have a better future.
  • People First of Ohio – A chapter of the nationwide self-advocacy group that gives individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities training to build skills in decision-making so they can advocate for themselves.
  • Autistic Women and Nobinary Network -- A nonprofit organization with a mission to provide community, support and resources for Autistic women, girls, transfeminine and transmasculine nonbinary and genderqueer people, trans people of all genders, Two Spirit people, and all others of marginalized genders.
  • Autistic Inclusive Meets (AIM) -- Created by autistic people in the UK, AIM provides support and advice to families and individuals, promotes acceptance of autism through education of the general public, and protects autistic rights by campaigning against autistic mistreatment.
  • Autistics 4 Autistics (A4A) --  Canada’s national autistic self-advocacy organization, they are an international affiliate of the Autistic Self Advocacy Network (ASAN).
