Milestones Announces Annual Benefit Honorees Milestones Autism Resources, a nonprofit dedicated to improving the lives of individuals on the autism spectrum, will be hosting its 2019 Annual Benefit on Saturday, October 26, 6 pm, at Landerhaven. Proceeds from the fundraiser will support Milestones’ free autism Helpdesk, a service that connects families to local, vetted resources and trusted recommendations.
This year, Milestones Autism Resources is proud to honor Stephen Rudolph, Lynn Singer and Leslie Rotsky for their extraordinary contributions to the local autism community.
Stephen Rudolph, MBA, CPA, AIF HW Financial Advisors As an uncle to two nephews with autism, Stephen is committed to improving autism services for families like his own, and has assisted Milestones in growing its annual fund by 300% over the last four years. He is president and founder of HW Financial. Steve believes in a personalized approach for each client and has used that approach at Milestones to improve donor cultivation and stewardship.
Lynn Singer, MEd, MA, PhD Case Western Reserve University With extensive experience in higher education and advocacy, Lynn is a true pillar of the impressive academic community in Cleveland and a champion of multiple underserved populations, including the autism and LGBTQ community. She currently serves as a professor of population and quantitative health sciences, pediatrics, psychiatry, and psychology at the School of Medicine at Case Western Reserve University, and as chair of the Steering Committee for the International Center for Autism Research and Education (ICARE). As chair, Lynn has worked alongside local autism providers, including Milestones, to translate the center’s work into clinical practice and better support local families affected by autism.
Leslie Rotsky Milestones Autism Resources As Milestones conference director, Leslie has grown the Milestones Autism Conference into a leading national autism event that delivers evidence-based education and professional development to hundreds of attendees across the country every year. Having both a deep history with the organization and the insightful perspective of a mother to a son with autism, Leslie is an invaluable member of the Milestones team and is constantly mindful of how the organization may better help families like hers feel supported and hopeful as they navigate their own unique challenges.
