Beth El-The Heights Synagogue will hold a lunch and learn with Mia Buchwald Gelles, co-founder of Milestones Autism Resources, at 1 p.m. Jan. 12 at 3246 Desota Ave. in Cleveland Heights.
Gelles, who will be joined by Molly D. Dann-Pipinias, will speak about “The ABCs of Autism Spectrum Disorder: A Firsthand Account.” Dann-Pipinias, a young adult on the spectrum, will share her insight as a member of the autism community. She is also part of the Milestones staff and is a “goodlife ambassador” with the Cuyahoga County Board of Developmental Disabilities.
The event is free. Nonmembers are asked to call the synagogue by Jan. 9 to make reservations at 216-320-9667.
