The Wellston City School Districts Parent Mentor Program is designed to be a support for families whose children are diagnosed or suspected of having a disability. The overall goal of this program is to help guide families into and through the special education process so that families feel more welcome and confident members of their child's educational team. In their dual role as consultant and parent, the mentor works to encourage continuous, positive communication between parents and educators.
