Learning About OFN and Charting the Life Course (virtual)
October 17, 2022 from 6:00pm - 7:00pm
This support group will be virtual via Zoom. Here is the link.
About: Participants will be able to: Learn about Ohio Family Network (OFN) and identify strategies to connect principles to families of NorthEast Ohio. The Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities utilizes Milestones Autism Resources as the liaison between OFN and the community. Milestones are prioritizing family connections to access, community needs, and resources. Another way Milestones supports family connection is through the use of OFN’s Charting The Life Course (CTLC) tools. Milestones use of CTLC is providing tools and support resources to help grow caregiver and self-advocate leadership and social skills, as well as connect families with other local families and non-disability resources.
What: Participants will implement strategies from Ohio Family Network CTLC tools to target and support connections and day to day needs. The audience will see a first-hand demonstration of one of the CTLC worksheets for implementation purposes. “Living The Good Life” Worksheet will be utilized for this workshop.
